Anyone who has gone through something related to mental health was encouraged to weave a piece of the provided gauze into the rope installation.
Each strip of gauze symbolized one person so that campus could see how many people have battled or are battling for mental health. The goal was to raise awareness of and decrease the stigma associated with mental health and help people feel not alone in their struggles.
The installation was up for a week in Whitworth University’s place of heaviest traffic: the HUB building.
